What's the difference between my iTunes ID and my Hipstaccount?

This is a question we get asked quite often. Here's a quick rundown of the differences between your Apple iTunes ID and your Hipstaccount


Apple iTunes ID

- This account exists in Apple's store/member system, on Apple's servers
- This account is accessible only by you and Apple
- Any and all paid apps that you've bought through the App store get recorded to this ID
- Any in-app purchases (not just for Hipstamatic but for any app) are stored on this ID
- This ID must be used when reinstalling Hipstamatic, making new in-app purchases, or restoring old purchases
- Any/all changes to this account must be made through Apple/iTunes. We (Hipstamatic) are not able to help with any updates or changes to this account

Hipstaccount


- This account exists on the Hipstamatic servers
- Any free Hipstapaks that you download through Hipstamatic are recorded on this account
- Any print purchases (through Print Lab) are recorded on this account
- You can update the email address of this account using our Account Maintenance page (https://accounts.hipstamatic.com)
